Let’s cut right to the topic at hand...so, life kicked your ass, eh? Tell me about it. I’ve had the same butt kicking as you, and I’m glad to see you standing tall and fighting back. You’re probably sitting there right now, holding this book (or palming your electronic device), and preparing to make the biggest comeback of your life. For every setback there is a comeback, and yours is about to be epic.
You’ve been through trials, tribulations, and treatment you never imagined you’d have to deal with, and now you’re feeling the need to say SCREW IT….I’m about to win this damn battle. Now, winning the battle is not as hard as it seems, and I’m going to share with you why right now before you get any further in this book. You will not have to seek revenge. You will not have to snitch on a single soul. You will not have to sell yourself short to regain your footing and show the hell up in this world, bigger and better than you were when life started bullying you.

Now, I refuse to downplay what you’ve endured, so bear with me as I tell the truth and shame the devil. I won’t skip over the things you’ve experienced as if they were minute, mediocre, and menial circumstances that didn’t mean much. I know how the story goes: you were doing great, things were in order, and your pants were buttoning with ease. You hadn’t been late to work in months, and your colleagues actually liked each other. The grocery store lines were short every time you decided to shop and Target wasn’t whispering in your ear that you needed to spend $245.76 each time you visited. You were drinking your water, exercising weekly, and reading your favorite self-help books. Your marriage seemed to be on cruise control in a good way, and the kids weren’t doing so bad in school after all. You were on top of the world...okay, maybe not on top of the world, but you were rocking it out.
Then all of a sudden, shit got real...
